In the period of damp, cool autumn and winter as well as early spring, there are conditions conducive to the occurrence of the mushroom fruiting body disease called mushroom rust spot caused by bacteria of the genus Pseudomonas totalis or Ginger.
Mushroom rust blotch - a disease of the climate surrounding the mushroom fruiting body
This disease is visible on mushroom fruiting bodies in the form of rusty spots on the cap of the mushroom (in the case of bacteria of the genus pseudomonas totalis, these will be dark brown spots with pitting into the mushroom tissue, and in the case of bacteria of the genus Pseudomonas Ginger, these will be regular light brown spots – greasy) . The emergence of this disease is associated with too high humidity of the air directly in contact with the forming fruiting body, and especially fruiting bodies binding between lumps of heavy cover. In order to prevent the occurrence of this disease, it is necessary to pay close attention to the humidity of the surroundings of binding fruiting bodies during the periods mentioned in the introduction, from the 6th to the 9th from the start of the shock. If micro-droplets of water gleam in the light of a spotlight on these days, you should lower the air humidity by 1-3% and slightly increase the air movement until this phenomenon disappears. After this period, return to normal growing conditions. Always try not to dry the surface of the casing, so as not to limit evaporation, which may also cause rust spot disease on the fruiting bodies on the second flush.
